I found art from a very young age. As far back as I can remember I've always been drawing, painting and exploring my creative limits. Although it wasn't until my early twenties while I was bartending and designing club flyers on the side, that a friend pointed out I was kind of decent at this graphic design thing. Maybe I should think about turning it into a career. That sounded like a pretty good idea, and since working in dark rooms until all hours of the night pouring cocktails for strangers wasn't my true calling, I quit slinging drinks and went full time as a freelance designer and moved to New York City. I can honestly say that was where I cut my teeth in more ways than one. I wouldn't be the person I am today without it and New York City will always have permanent residence in my heart. However it's not cheap, and isn't in the safest area.
A decade went by, and after many battles fought and lessons learned I sold what I didn't need and packed what I did into a car and drove out to Los Angeles to start something new. I landed in Venice and I've been here for almost 8 years now. In that time I've been lucky to have worked with some seriously talented people and agencies. Ignition Creative, 3AM, Watson DG, Tool of America, Walton Issacson, Blitz Interactive, A+R and more.
I'm currently available for hire in a freelance capacity.
Cheers. - Ryan O.
