I discovered art from a very young age. As far back as I can remember I've always been drawing, painting and exploring my creative limits. Although it wasn't until my early twenties while I was bartending and designing club flyers on the side, that a friend pointed out I was kind of decent at this graphic design thing. Maybe I should think about turning it into a career. That sounded like a pretty good idea, and since working in dimly lit rooms until all hours of the night pouring cocktails wasn't my true calling, however enlightening, I quit slinging drinks and went full time as a freelance designer and moved to New York City. That was where I cut my teeth in more ways than one. I wouldn't be the person I am today without it and NYC will always have permanent residence in my heart.
A decade went by, and after many battles fought and lessons learned I sold what I didn't need and packed what I did into a car and drove out to Los Angeles to start something new. I've been here for 9+ years now. In that time I've been lucky to have worked in multiple capacities as designer, director and creative lead with some seriously talented people. Ignition Creative, 3AM, Watson DG, Tool of America, Walton Issacson, Blitz Interactive, Big Picture, and more.
I'm currently available for hire in a freelance capacity.
Cheers. - Ryan O.
